Do Everything In Love
If 2020 has taught us anything, it is how fragile life is and that we need each other in this circle of life. If nothing else, we have been nudged, not so gently, to consciously do everything in love. This year has given us vivid reminders that our time on this earth is limited, which makes it all the more important that we do not waste even a single moment, and that we make the best of each opportunity we are given to imprint positive, lasting impressions on the world around us.
Beyond Words
For the believer especially, it is a reminder of the instructions we received in 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 “Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.” NLT
Being so conscious that “love” is easier spoken than acted upon, today’s post zeros in on what it means to “do everything in love” with three brief takeaways we hope you will be able to relate to.
Walk in Compassion
Be deliberate about walking in compassion, ready and willing to serve those you cross paths with. Be intentional about serving lovingly, from the heart. There will be times when offences will surface, they’ll be some difficult interactions and uncomfortable discussions. In all this remember that everyone you meet is going through something, whether they are consciously aware of it or not. Be determined to approach and to respond in love, always.
Love without Expectations
Love everyone! Sounds impossible, doesn’t it? Extending love freely becomes easier when we adjust our expectations. It becomes possible when we accept that extending love doesn’t guarantee that love will be reciprocated from that source. There is also benefit in being content with the heavenly rewards that God favours us with on account of us loving, and treating that as far more valuable than any reward man could give.
As you purpose to be a blessing to those you come in contact with by radiating God’s love, I trust that you will also be open and available to receive love.
